Victorian fashion

Ordering 9 yards at a time for a Victorian dress, it’s nice to find reasonably priced 100% linen fabric. The weight is perfect for this application and the slight irregularity of the weave sets it apart from fabrics of today. It will be stunning.
There is some stiffness to this fabric as it has not been presoftened. Agitation and an overnight soak in a bath of baking soda water helps a lot.
An inexpensive swatch sample let me know what the fabric was like before investing in yardage.
I would buy this again.
